Questions?
-
Is draping required?
Yes. All clients, regardless of gender, age, experience, or anything else require appropriate draping at all times during a session.
-
Why are your sessions 75 minutes?
Because 60 minutes never quite feels like enough! To address your specific needs, simplify things, and allow for a relaxing experience I have found that 75 minutes was the perfect spot. Enough time to get a full body massage and also a little extra TLC for that super tense spot or for additional therapeutic work on a problem area.
If you desire something else, let’s discuss.

Can you help me with X condition?
I have been in the field for a couple years and have lots of experience with a wide variety of clients and conditions. Let’s talk about it! I frequently modify aspects to meet the unique needs of. clients.
You have my commitment that I will be honest and transparent with you regarding my ability to help - and I know loads of other qualified therapists to whom I can refer you if needed.
-
Do you work on couples or do group sessions?
For couples sessions, additional effort and planning is required as for now it is just me! Send a request by email and I can make arrangements with enough advanced notice.
Same applies for groups and events. I would love to be a part of your wedding (bridal party before the ceremony?), office gathering, or other event. Send the details and I will be in contact to help come up with a great plan together. I have a great group of friendly therapists available to meet the needs of any size group.

Why am I being asked about my medical history?
As part of the intake, you’ll be asked about your medications, supplements, and any conditions you may be dealing with. While massage therapy helps with many ailments, including the stress of daily living, some conditions are contra-indicated for massage or require adjustments. I need to know about those to ensure your health and comfort. If there is a question or concern, you’ll be the first to know - before your massage. Thank you for being open, honest, and trusting me with your care.

I have never had a massage before, what can I expect?
If you have never had a massage, don’t fret. I’ll walk you through everything, from discussing your muscle concerns, how I plan to address them, what you can do afterward to keep things
Basic stuff can feel uncomfortable if you haven’t experienced a relaxing massage before. We’ll discuss draping, hygiene, how and when to disrobe, the process, where you are comfortable with being massaged, all of it. Don’t hesitate to ask - I want to make sure you are confident and enjoy the benefits of massage!

I'm a little uncomfortable with a male therapist. Is that odd?
It is quite common. A lot of people are not experienced with receiving massage from a male therapist.
My aim is to help people experience the healing power of touch in a safe and comfortable way. My practice is inclusive of all genders, ages, races, body types, disabilities… everyone. If you have any specific concerns I am happy to discuss, just shoot me a message.

I heard you specialize in neurodivergent clients. What does that mean?
Look, I discovered late in life that I was ADHD (and my partner is constantly telling me I should get an ASD assessment). I understand how impactful that can be day-to-day. Whether it is being over- or under-stimulated all the time, having a sound sensitivity, or raging against active resisted techniques, I’m here for it.
I spend a lot of my time working with, and being with, people who are neurodivergent. As part of my inclusive practice you can feel comfortable sharing whatever your accommodation needs with me. If you realize partway through a session, that’s a fine time to bring it up too.
You want to listen to a podcast or death metal during session, so be it. Whatever your letters are, let’s do this together.
